All silver figures come from the same per tola rate, so the calculator can never disagree with the price at the counter.
The per tola rate is divided by 11.664 grams to get a per gram figure, then multiplied by the weight you enter. Selecting "PSL bar" as the unit multiplies the tola rate by ten.
The calculator assumes bullion-grade silver. Household silver, utensils and old ornaments vary in purity, and are tested and weighed at the counter before we quote. Use the result as a ceiling rather than a promise.
