Pakistan quotes silver by the tola like gold, but the practical unit at the counter is the sealed 10 tola bar. Our rate is set per bar and every other figure on this site is derived from it, so the per gram and per tola numbers can never disagree with the bar price.

We quote silver per tola — that is the figure we deal at. The per 10 gram, per 100 gram and per kilogram rows are reference conversions from the same rate, for anyone who thinks in grams. A sealed PSL bar is exactly 10 tola, or 116.64 grams, so the bar price is ten times the tola rate.
Silver's value per gram is low enough that testing costs are a meaningful share of a small transaction. A branded, sealed, QR-coded bar removes that cost for the next buyer, which is why PSL bars trade closer to the rate than loose silver of identical purity does. If you are buying silver to hold, buy it in a form that will be easy to sell.

Silver tarnishes on contact with air and skin oils — harmless to the metal's value but unattractive, and a tarnished loose bar draws more scrutiny at resale. Keep bars sealed, dry and out of direct handling. A 10 tola bar is compact; ten of them are not, so plan storage before you scale up.
